Description
or several years prior to the founding of Pottersvile Reformed Church, Pottersville residents met for Sunday School in the village school house (the site of the Church’s Community House) under the instruction of E.P. Potter. Busting at the seams with over 85 students, a committee was formed and application made to incorporate as a church under the auspices of the Reformed Church in America. The church was officially incorporated in November of 1885, just at the close of the Civil War. Immediately following a two acre tract of land was donated by George Moore, a building fund began and by the end of the following year the church you see today was completed.
